The original work is I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day by Aono Nachi, which is serialized in Comic Yuri Hime (Ichijinsha). 14-year-old Shina attends an institution that takes in orphaned children and raises them to be weapons of war, training every day to be able to kill with magic. In truth, she doesn't want to go to war, she doesn't want to hurt anyone... but then she meets Mimi, a small girl rumored to be an immortal secret weapon.
A story of life, death, and love among girls raised to be weapons of war.
A top-notch team of talented staff will bring this profound story to life with high-quality animation
The director is Tomoda Yasushi, making his directorial debut with this work. Furthermore, the series composition/script is handled by the same people who worked on Medalist, Sound! Euphonium, and Love Live! Hanada Jukki, who has worked on series composition/scripts for numerous hit works such as the series, is in charge of character design, and Yufu Kyoko, who has worked on character design for Delicious Party Precure and Seirei Gensouki, is in charge of animation production. ROLL2, who worked on Love is Not Divided by Twins, is in charge of animation production and will vividly depict the profound worldview and the delicate emotions of the girls!
A luxurious cast of voice actors who possess both popularity and talent will breathe life into the delicate feelings of the girls as they waver!
Takahashi Rie, who played Emilia in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, will play Totsuki Shina, a 14-year-old girl who wishes for peace in her daily life, and Hidaka Rina, who played Milim in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, will play Kagari Mimi, a mysterious girl who suddenly appears before Shina one day. Furthermore, talented voice actors such as Asami Seto, who voices Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen, as Lizzie Seiran, Sheena's classmate, and Yui Ishikawa, who voices Mikasa Ackerman in "Attack on Titan," as Maud Ali, will deliver passionate performances as the girls who live their daily lives constantly on the brink of death.
The first Blu-ray volume will also be released in a special edition that includes an acrylic stand and tapestry illustrated by the original author, Aono Nachi!
The first production run will include luxurious bonus items such as a special booklet that thoroughly analyzes the work!
[Story]
Girls attend a school that raises orphaned children to be weapons of war.
Classes are about learning to kill people, and they live in an absurd daily life where they cannot even grieve when someone dies.
This is an absurd world where living constantly on the brink of death is "normal."
"Why is everyone okay?" One night, 14-year-old Shina, who can't accept her circumstances, meets a blood-soaked little girl named Mimi— no matter what reality befalls them, they will keep living.
