A legendary original anime brought to life by two young talents, Angel's Egg, conceived, written, and directed by Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell) and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy series). Released as an original animation video in 1985, its stunning visuals and unparalleled worldview have garnered a passionate fanbase. To commemorate its 40th anniversary in 2025, the film will be remastered in 4K from the original 35mm film under the supervision of director Oshii himself. The original mono audio source has been analyzed and separated using audio separation technology, then reconstructed into 5.1ch surround sound and Dolby Atmos. The film will be screened at film festivals around the world, including the Classics section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, in May 2025. It was released in Japan, North America, and other countries around the world in November of the same year, where it became a huge hit.

Storyline:
A girl protecting an egg and a boy searching for a bird. The two meet in a forgotten town.
A city submerged in water. A girl wanders alone, carrying an egg.
One day, a boy steps out of a strange tank. He is searching for the "bird" he saw in a dream.
The boy and girl exchange words as they travel through the ruined town.
A faint sympathy seems to have blossomed between them, but...
