GHOST IN THE SHELL X GARRACK - FUCHIKOMA MODEL SMS-KK-42-FK

This automatic mechanical watch features a dial depicting the Fuchikoma from Ghost in the Shell, using the traditional craft of raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) made from the nacreous layer of seashells. The dial is a true work of art, meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans. The movement, the heart of the watch, is made in Japan, and the watch is assembled in Japan, making it a truly made-in-Japan model.

Fuchikoma Model

The dial features a mother-of-pearl inlay depicting the AI-equipped thinking tank Fuchikoma from the front. An open heart is placed on the right arm to represent the manipulator in operation. The hour and minute hands are inspired by the arms of Fuchikoma. The indices are inspired by Fuchikoma's wheels, allowing you to enjoy the world of the work down to the smallest detail.

Mother-of-pearl inlay

Mother-of-pearl inlay is a traditional Japanese technique in which the iridescent parts of seashells such as abalone are shaved to the thinnest possible extent and used to decorate lacquerware. In Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, it has long been called "Aogai-nuri" and has been passed down as a representative technique of Takaoka lacquerware. Because mother-of-pearl inlay is made from natural materials, you can enjoy the unique expression created by the inherent iridescence of the shells. This product uses this mother-of-pearl inlay technique, and each dial is carefully finished by hand by skilled craftsmen.
