HELLO KITTY X SEIKO - SHINKANSEN FINALE COMMEMORATIVE MECHANICAL WATCH

This watch is a special model commemorating the end of service for the Hello Kitty Shinkansen . The Hello Kitty Shinkansen ran between Shin-Osaka and Hakata for approximately eight years, from June 2018 to May 2026, adding a touch of charm to the journeys of many passengers. For railway enthusiasts and Hello Kitty fans alike, it truly is a memorable legendary train!

This train, much to the regret of its passengers, has now retired. To ensure that this journey, which connected communities and people and brought so many smiles, will forever remain in our memories, a commemorative mechanical wristwatch has been created in collaboration with Seiko.

The watch face features a design inspired by the lead car of the Hello Kitty Shinkansen. The black and pink gradient colors beautifully capture the iconic appearance of the train.

The design highlights the incorporation of the elegant, streamlined nose of the 500 Series Shinkansen into the dial's form. Furthermore, Hello Kitty, dressed in a train uniform, is featured at the 4 o'clock position, and a gold ribbon at the 1 o'clock position, creating a perfect fusion of railway elements and Hello Kitty's adorable charm.

The movement employs a mechanical automatic winding mechanism. An open heart design is featured at the 9 o'clock position, allowing you to directly admire the intricate mechanism inside. This seems to symbolize the train continuing to move forward into the future, much like the powerful, continuously rotating wheels of a bullet train.
