This year marks the 20th anniversary of the anime "Gintama." The new movie "Gintama: The Great Fire of Yoshiwara" is scheduled for release on February 13th, marking the anniversary year in style. The legendary protagonist, Sakata Gintoki, and the fan-favorite character Kamui make their first appearance on the cover of the special edition of anan magazine! Dressed in their original black robes, they stand back to back, serene yet fearless in their expressions.

These two are known as some of the strongest characters in the series. Gintoki, who harbors a samurai spirit that never gives in to anything, and Kamui, who continues to seek battle, meet for the first time in this episode. The newly drawn illustrations depict Gintoki, who is like a light piercing the darkness of Yoshiwara, and Kamui, whose fighting spirit burns in the darkness, hoping to one day face Gintoki, evoke the lingering heat of battle, making this book seem as if it has been captured in a specially processed nishiki-e print.
